Starting Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000/year
Location: Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, Dorchester, MA
The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute (LDBPI) is a center of healing, teaching, and learning for families and communities impacted by murder, trauma, grief, and loss. We aim to transform society's response to homicide, ensuring all families are treated with dignity and compassion. Founded in 1994 after the murder of Dorchester resident, Louis D. Brown, The LDBPI is recognized across the state and country for the best practices in the field of homicide response. With over 30 years of experience, the LDBPI continues to innovate and grow.
Position Overview:
The Peace Institute is seeking a dynamic and highly organized individual to serve as the Training, Technical Assistance, and Consulting Coordinator. This role is focused on supporting the planning, coordination, and management of training programs, technical assistance services, and consulting engagements. The coordinator will work closely with internal teams, including the events manager, external consultants, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of all training and consulting activities, providing logistical and operational support to maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities:

Training Coordination:- Develop and manage schedules for training programs, workshops, and other learning events.
- Work with Events Manager to coordinate logistics for training sessions, including venue, technology, materials, and participant communications.
- Maintain relationships with external trainers and experts, ensuring alignment with the Peace Institute’s mission and values.
- Manage participant registrations, provide pre-event materials, and gather feedback post-training to assess effectiveness.

Technical Assistance and Consulting Coordination:
- Liaise with external consultants and partners to ensure the timely delivery of technical assistance services.
- Oversee the contracting and administrative processes for consultants and contractors, ensuring deliverables are met.
- Track and monitor the progress of consulting projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Provide support in preparing reports and documents for clients, ensuring accurate and clear communication of findings and recommendations.
- Administrative and Logistical Support:
- Maintain comprehensive records of training and consulting activities, including participant data, evaluation results, and feedback.
- Prepare and manage reports on program progress, impact, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in budget tracking and financial oversight for training and consulting programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a point of contact for training participants, external consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for participants and service providers.
- Manage communications and ensure clarity regarding schedules, expectations, and outcomes.
- Promote the mission and vision of the LDBPI in both individual conversations and at events and meetings.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas for improvement in training and technical assistance offerings.
- Assist with the development and refinement of training and consulting materials and resources.
- Collect and analyze feedback to improve future offerings and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, international development, peace studies, etc.)
- Proven experience in program coordination, preferably in the fields of training, technical assistance, or consulting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with an ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools is an asset.
- Experience in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, or related fields is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Time Commitment
● Full-time, 40 hours/week position, including some evening and weekend work.
