Job Description

The Leadership and Talent Development Programs Intern is an exciting opportunity to support the logistics of programs that prepare leaders to make Greater Boston more welcoming and inclusive. This role will support the implementation of the Chamber's existing leadership and talent development programs which include: two cohort-based programs - Boston's Future Leaders, and Women's Leadership Programs two Certificate programs Transformational DEI Certificate and Inclusive Managers Certificate, and future opportunities being conceptualized now. This individual will be responsible for supporting programmatic implementation. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about continuous learning, interested in event management, interested in the Greater Boston business community, wants to develop strong relationship skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce's four Leadership Initiatives which currently include our Women's Leadership Program, Boston's Future Leaders, Transformational DEI Certificate, and Inclusive Managers Certificate.

Organize logistics of programming by making participant nametags, tracking RSVPs, ordering catering, and venue set-up.

Maintain attendance tracking, identify gaps in participation, and develop creative solutions to re-engage participants.

Assist with database management of leadership programs including entering new contacts into database, pulling reports, turning heads, and tracking individual engagement.

Update class website with summary notes, recordings, and curriculum.

Support with ongoing program recruitment efforts.

Research content including speakers, venues, and program models.

Special project opportunities available and have included: developing an alumni outreach plan, supporting the growth of our Leadership Initiatives, and creating a marketing plan for content related to our leadership programming.

Be available and willing to support organizational-wide efforts to support our members.


REQUIREMENTS:

Strong interest in program design and implementation.

Interest in community building.

Ability to creatively solve problems.

Attention to detail.

Strong writing ability.

Experience with MS Office.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior-level executives.

Experience with event management and execution a plus.

Superior time management skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
