Community Software Group was founded in 1993 and is a leading provider of Web database applications for non-profit anti-poverty social service agencies and their government funding sources. Technical Advisor
We seek a person who is comfortable working in a small company environment and interested in working as part of a team in several capacities on a wide variety of projects. We are looking for a person who will join our technical support team based in Worcester, MA but currently working remotely. Most of the technical support and training is done by email, webinar and telephone with users around the country. The users are case managers at social service agencies and state office staff. Some travel may be required in the future to attend conferences and to train users on site. This opportunity has several areas of focus: To respond to questions/problems reported by users and to act as an interface to our software developers, To work with our non-technical clients to assist with their need to understand the data in the databases our software creates. and to use our built-in reports as well as SQL queries to perform these tasks. Also, to assist with implementing our software for new and existing customers, to train our new and existing clients on the use of our software and to assist with proposal writing, development of manuals, technology infrastructure and other tasks needed. Should be able to test software or be willing to learn software testing procedures. Excellent communication skills are very important. Ability and patience to work with non-technical people is required.
