THE OPPORTUNITY:

The People & Culture team aims to establish ActBlue as a top employer of choice for people who are passionate about empowering small-dollar donors in our country. We seek a Talent Acquisition Manager to play a key role in attracting the talent ActBlue needs to achieve its ambitious 2020 goals.   This Manager partners closely with ActBlue hiring managers to identify, source, cultivate, and hire strong, diverse candidates for open positions.  They manage the full recruitment cycle for non-technical roles and will marshal people data and resources to refine ActBlue’s sourcing and staffing strategy.  This Manager is an integral member of ActBlue’s People & Culture team and will report to the Director, People & Culture.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Manage current ActBlue recruitment & hiring processes for non-technical roles 

  • Partner with ActBlue hiring managers to establish ambitious hiring plans that include time-to-hire and diversity goals
  • Conduct initial resume reviews and preliminary phone screen interviews with promising candidates
  • Provide support to hiring managers during hiring processes, including but not limited to: coordinating interview schedules, managing interviewing logistics, and serving as primary point of contact with active candidates
  • Focus hiring managers and teams on ensuring positive candidate experiences throughout hiring processes
  • Set, monitor and report, and manage progress with hiring managers to meet time-to-hire and quality goals for open positions
  • Manage Recruitment Intern(s) to assist with managing hiring process logistics and candidate records in ActBlue’s applicant tracking system (ATS). 

Manage ActBlue’s internal referral process for non-technical roles
Leverage ActBlue people data & resources to refine ActBlue overall recruitment & hiring processes 

  • Partner with the Director, People & Culture and technical contract recruiters to capture and use ActBlue sourcing, staffing, and people data to refresh current hiring processes
  • Maintain ActBlue’s hiring data systems (ATS; AirTable) to ensure that candidate information is up-to-date throughout application process
  • Monitor and report at regular intervals progress on time-to-hire, diversity, and volume goals at key hiring process intervals for all non-technical searches
  • Monitor and periodically prepare reports on ActBlue ratings on external recruiter website/data sources (Glassdoor, Indeed, Comparably, etc)
  • In partnership with Director, People & Culture, manage and review sourcing data (external & internal) to assess and refine recruitment budget decisions 
  • Partner with People & Culture teammates, technical contract recruiters, and the Director, Diversity and Inclusion to set and operationalize a multi-Quarter plan that establishes ActBlue inclusive sourcing and hiring strategies
  • Review and periodically revise recruitment materials (print & website) to incorporate inclusive language 
  • Set and facilitate hiring manager and team interviewer trainings, incorporating bias mitigation techniques 
  • Set and partner with ActBlue internal teams and resources to help implement sourcing and outreach strategies that broaden and diversify ActBlue talent pipelines for a range of non-technical roles

  • You bring 3-5 years of work experience managing full cycle recruitment for positions that range in seniority with organizations that seek diverse team composition.  Preferred but not required: prior work experience in the non-profit and/or political impact sectors
  • You possess strong time management and organizational skills that undergird your ability to manage multiple work streams concurrently
  • You understand how to generate excitement around working at ActBlue and naturally build relationships with prospects, candidates, hiring managers & interviewing teams
  • A data-driven, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Discretion; the ability to handle people recruitment and staffing data reliably and professionally

 

LOCATION & COMPENSATION:

ActBlue’s office is located in Davis Square in Somerville, MA, just a few blocks from Boston’s MBTA Red Line train.  This posting is for a full-time, in-office, salaried position. We offer a competitive salary and a generous compensation package, which includes commuter benefits; fully paid and trans-inclusive health, dental, and vision insurance; an employer-sponsored 401k contribution plan; and a flexible time off policy.
