Job Description
 
Title: Research, Process and Data Manager (Temporary, Part-time)
Department: Philanthropy Group, King Boston
Reports To: Director of Advancement and External Affairs, King Boston
FLSA Classification: Exempt  FTE:  .43 (15 hours per week)
Location: Remote 
Expected Duration: Approx. end of March 2022
 
Position Summary: 
 The Research, Process and Data Manager provides administrative support to the Advancement and External Affairs team.  This role manages a rapid flow of work, handling many tasks daily spanning multiple projects, with a need to toggle between big picture, long-term strategic priorities and time sensitive details.  Responsibilities include; the build out of advancement operations and communication systems; preparing content for meetings, presentations and projects; and working with other team members to ensure the successful implementation of projects where Advancement and External Affairs play a role. 
 
This is a remote part-time temporary position.  
 
Essential Functions
●       Coordinate the migration of constituent and activity data management to Salesforce;
●       Research communication protocols for major dignitaries and create document templates for letters, email, and                           online forms that follow best practices;
●       Email communications to major dignitaries for Embrace unveiling;
●       Develop initial draft of “in honor of” note card and letter templates;
●       Develop draft of donor communication email template(s);
●       Develop event invitation lists and send invitations, using Salesforce;
●       Research and develop email templates and a process for Board of Advisors’ invitations, agreement, and               
onboarding memo
●       Working closely with the Director and internal/external partners to develop event packet design and branding;
●       Review current presentation decks and update language and messaging as needed; 
●       Provide administrative and project management for internal and external meetings, events and fundraising events;
●       Ensures accuracy in records including database contact reports, updates and follow up on visits and phone calls, and                 ensures proper donor recognition listings;
●       Works collaboratively with colleagues to implement and uphold data integrity protocols to ensure accurate         
 reporting and inform departmental activities; and
●       Provides regular progress reports and updates on assigned projects. 
 
Other Duties
●        Participates in various King Boston internal meetings, including program planning, resource utilization, and    
 scheduling;
●        Performs other duties as assigned related to King Boston's mission or to support coalition partners, funders, or 
 other stakeholders; and
●        Individuals assigned to this position may perform other duties as assigned.
 
 
Qualifications
 
Preparation, Knowledge, Previous Experience
 
●       At least 2-4 years of relevant experience or in a role with transferable skills;
●       Exceptional project management skills, extremely well-organized and strong attention to detail; 
●       High degree of professionalism, customer service, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently 
         and with a team; 
 
 
Skills, Abilities, Competencies:
 
●       Excellent written and oral communication skills; 
●       Demonstrated experience communicating with a wide range of audiences and able to present key information in an                 engaging way in terms of both language and visual presentation;
●       Curiosity about and interest in research; can quickly uncover facts and interested in pursuing additional         
 information with focus and ability to draw insights from what is relevant;
●       Resourcefulness in approaches to designing solutions and solving problems;
●       A can-do and will-do attitude, i.e. no task is too high level nor too basic;
●       Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships;
●       Proven expertise in Salesforce or a comparable database, 
●       Proven expertise using Zoom, mass email marketing systems as well as the ability to learn new software;
●       Excitement about and ability to make order out of ambiguity;
●       Commitment to contributing to an overall department culture that is grounded in imagination, collectivism, and well- being;
●       Passion for racial and economic justice;
●       Capacity to integrate into all functional areas while autonomously leading one’s work, prioritizing tasks and meeting                 organizational deadlines;

●       Ability to use a keyboard and electronic screen for extended periods of time; and 
●       Ability to work remotely.
