Job Description
The Research Assistant will assist the Public Health Data & Evaluation Specialist in tasks related to the SPIFFY coalition community assessment, including qualitative and quantitative data collection, data analysis and presentation of data to community stakeholders.

Essential Functions:
- Support Specialist in identifying data sources, obtaining data sharing agreements, and developing processes through which data can be shared, including on regional databases.
- Assist in analyzing, reporting, and presenting school-based youth survey data as well as data from other secondary sources.
- Utilize participatory evaluation approaches that provide program participants with tools for assessing the planning, implementation, and self-evaluation of their programs.
- Develop and launch an interactive equity dashboard on the Strategic Planning Initiative for Families and Youth (SPIFFY) website.
- Utilize Shiny package from RStudio.
- Support that the principles of health equity, anti-racism and community-driven decision-making are integrated into every aspect of program assessment, development, implementation and evaluation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science and/or 1-2 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of R Shiny Apps
Preferred Qualifications:
- English/Spanish bilingual
- Experience working with diverse populations in terms of race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status
Terms of Employment
- Hourly up to 19 hours/week (through Aug 31, 2022)
- Salary: $20/hour
