Job Description
Philanthropy Massachusetts is seeking an independent contractor to serve as an interim Programs and Membership Associate from Dec 2024 - May 2025. This person will primarily provide administrative, logistical and marketing support to the Programs Team and membership support to the Vice President, Network Vibrancy.
This position has three specific areas of responsibilities:
- Programming (Funder, Funder Networks, and Nonprofit audiences). This includes providing administrative, marketing and logistical support to the Programs team and its activities/events.
- Membership. This includes handling basic membership administrative functions such as processing and acknowledging member payments and tracking membership.
- Administration. This includes serving as the first line of contact for inquiries/issues related to user account, membership benefits, event registrations, access to resources (Funder & Nonprofit).
Schedule and Compensation
The person in this role will work 30 hours per week, with a preference for most work occurring during Philanthropy MA’s business hours, Monday-Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM ET, to allow for regular (virtual) meetings with internal partners. The candidate should expect to be in the office 3 days/week and can work from home a 4th day.
Compensation: $30 / hour.
Experience/Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Constant Contact (or similar); Survey Monkey (or similar); familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems
- Knowledge of design programs, such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Pro
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with best practices in website and materials accessibility
- Excellent organizational skills, including strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and problem-solve
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and adapt as needed; ability to work collaboratively and across organizational departments and teams.
