Job Description
ThinkGive is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower youth to take actions that positively impact themselves and others—building character, confidence, and connection. We partner with schools and youth organizations to deliver research-backed social and emotional learning (SEL) programs during school and out-of-school time, supporting emotional well-being and character development in youth ages 5–14. Since our founding in 2013, we’ve engaged over 18,500 youth. This year, we’ll partner with about 90 schools and youth-serving organizations—85% of which serve primarily under-resourced youth.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Manager oversees the day-to-day implementation of ThinkGive programs and supervises Program Coordinators to ensure high-quality, consistent delivery across partner sites. This role blends hands-on program facilitation with people management, coordination, and continuous improvement within a small, collaborative team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Strategy
- Support annual program, site growth, and content production goals.
- Implement and refine program processes to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM data to support program monitoring and reporting.
- Provide regular program insights, updates, and recommendations to the Executive Director.
Program Management & Supervision
- Supervise and support Program Coordinators, including task delegation, training, coaching, and feedback.
- Coordinate program implementation across all partner sites, ensuring alignment with established timelines and standards.
- Directly facilitate programming for an assigned portfolio of schools and youth-serving organizations.
- Ensure timely reporting on program progress, challenges, and upcoming initiatives.
Curriculum Development
- Contribute to curriculum and content design.
- Guide Program Coordinators’ curriculum-related contributions to ensure quality and alignment.
- Collaborate with Marketing on program-related communications and website updates.
Relationship Building
- Build and steward relationships with a portfolio of educators and partner sites to support retention.
- Support Program Coordinators in cultivating strong relationships with partner sites.
- Identify and advance opportunities for deepening or expanding partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage colleagues and educators.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented; skilled at managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff or coordinating team-based work.
- Collaborative team player who also works effectively independently.
- Genuine interest in education and social and emotional learning.
- Proficient with technology (e.g., Google Workspace and Canva) (and willing to learn).
- Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, including program coordination or management.
