Program Manager Fellow

Science Club for Girls

Job Description

Science Club for Girls (SCFG), a Cambridge-based non-profit established in 1994, seeks a dynamic, resourceful and collaborative individual from our community of mentors and alumni with experience with out-of-school time science education to join our team. SCFG builds self-confidence, excitement and literacy in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for girls and gender expansive youth in grades K-12, particularly from communities underrepresented in STEM. We do this by providing free, experiential STEM programs with mentorship by individuals who study or work in STEM. We remove barriers to access by providing all materials and planning programs in locations where our participants live and learn. Our programs are made possible through the support of our many corporate partners and funders from several sectors, in addition to the mentor-scientists who volunteer each week to lead activities. Our staff is passionate, committed and entrepreneurial. SCFG offers a one-year paid Fellow Program from June 2026 - June 2027. The Program Manager Fellow will join our team and manage K-8th grade Science Clubs and high school-aged Junior Mentors and adult Mentors at multiple school- and community center-based sites in Boston, Cambridge, Malden and Somerville and virtually via Zoom. Programming occurs after school on weekdays, approximately 2:30- 5:30pm, and on Saturdays, for eight weeks each semester. Additionally, the Program Manager Fellow will join the team of Program Managers and be responsible for running vacation week and summer vacation programming. Duties are hybrid and take place at SCFG offices, out in the community and remotely. This is a full-time, short term position.
