Job Description

Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant will perform most of the work remotely and provide support to the President of the Boston Product Management Association (BPMA) Board of Directors. They will work with the organization’s small, talented, and motivated volunteer staff, but will be formally managed by the BPMA President.

Time commitment for this position is approximately 5 hours per week and the work schedule is flexible.

The Administrative Assistant should have access to reliable Internet and PC to manage the essential functions of the role as described below:

Essential Functions
  • Update website home pages, About Us pages as needed
  • Assist with new volunteer or director onboarding
  • Monitor BPMA email inbox and forward inquiries to appropriate Team leads
  • Coordinate volunteer appreciation gifts
  • Support live event coordination as needed. This will include identifying ideal settings, scheduling meetings, and coordinating any catering in collaboration with the Programming Team Directors.

Qualifications
We will consider exceptional candidates who demonstrate a strong combination of the specific qualifications and skills described below.

Required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Editing skills, including detailed proofing;
  • Willingness and ability to learn new programs/systems;
  • Experienced with Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Able to work well both collaboratively and independently;
  • Familiarity with SquareSpace
