ABOUT OEE
The Office of Economic Empowerment (OEE) is a department within the Office of the Treasurer and Receiver General of Massachusetts tasked with offering free and accessible financial education, promoting racial and gender equity, and creating a bright future for children across the state.

I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
· To work with the Director of Program Evaluation to execute a strategy for community engagement and partnership with statewide and community-based organizations to increase awareness and participation in OEE programs in targeted regions or by targeted populations
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage community activities and outreach programs in targeted regions and/or to targeted populations
· Oversee community ambassador program and serve a primary point of contact for statewide and community partners
· Plan and execute community engagement activities including outreach campaigns
· Work with Director of Program Evaluation and other OEE staff to identify, create, and sustain partnerships to promote OEE programs
· Create an annual plan for targeting key regions and populations
III. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Influence the strategic plan for outreach to increase public engagement
· Conduct regular presentations to stakeholders and community groups
· Work independently under general supervision
· Attend regular meetings with OEE team; minimum weekly and as needed
IV. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Familiarity with Massachusetts non-profits and community based organizations is highly desired
· A certain degree of creativity, entrepreneurial mind-set is desired.
· Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
V. Requirements
· 3-5 years of experience in community outreach, grassroots organizing or in a related area
· Bachelor's Degree preferred
· Ability to travel statewide when needed
· Additional languages preferred
