Job Description

The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship AmeriCorps program is now seeking proposals to host a Fellow for it’s 2021-2022 Program Year!

Who are we:

The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship (MPF) is a statewide AmeriCorps program housed at Northeastern University. We engage 40 AmeriCorps Fellows who lead out-of-school time programs for young people in grades 6-12, focused on academic enrichment and college and career exploration. Fellows support partner sites by leading activities such as designing and facilitating curricula for afterschool programs, recruiting and overseeing volunteers, and advising youth through their college search process.

Who we are looking for to serve as a host:

  • Schools, nonprofits, and city agencies

  • Youth serving organizations where Fellows can serve the same group of 6-12th graders weekly!

  • A clear focus on academic enrichment and/or college and career exploration

  • Sites interested in hosting committed and socially minded Fellows.

What are the host site benefits:

  • A full-time Fellow serving August -June

  • Program administration of all benefits, including payroll and health insurance

  • 25% discount on courses at Northeastern’s College of Professional Studies for Fellow Supervisors

  • An opportunity to network and share resources with youth-serving organizations from across the state
