The Foundation for MetroWest is a community foundation that improves the quality of life in over 30 MetroWest communities—especially for our most vulnerable neighbors. Since 1995 we have been providing financial and educational resources to local nonprofit organizations, sharing essential data about the region to inform decisions, and partnering with donors to help guide and align their giving with the areas of greatest need in the community.
We support three key constituents: nonprofit organizations, individual donors, and businesses—in a variety of ways targeted to their specific needs. 
 
All of this enables the Foundation to be the go-to resource, and the hub for philanthropy and giving in our region.
 
Job Description
Title: Marketing and Communications Specialist
Experience: 3+ years in a marketing/communications role
Location: Natick, MA 
Job Status: Full-time, Hybrid 
Reports to: Senior Operations Manager 
 
Overview
The Foundation is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Specialist with strong writing skills to join and grow with the Foundation.  The Specialist will work alongside all members of the staff as they plan and execute marketing and communications initiatives for the Foundation.  The position requires a creative self-starter who is organized and can prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.  
 
Responsibilities
·         Work with Senior Management Team to create and implement marketing and communications strategy and plan 
·         Oversee all content creation and messaging, and increase engagement across all digital platforms
·         Write and distribute Foundation content including but not limited to- newsletters, press releases, op-eds, blogs, and email communications
·         Design, produce and manage all marketing materials i.e. brochures, annual report, donor communications  
·         Manage marketing and communications vendor relationships
·         Edit and approve non-profit partner’s press releases and other collateral when the Foundation is mentioned
·         Ensure consistency of messaging across all marketing and communications materials to support and strengthen the Foundation’s brand
 
  Qualifications
·         Demonstrated experience in marketing/communications/public relations (3-5 years)  
                  o   Agency experience a plus
·         Outstanding writing and editing skills 
·         Graphic design skills- InDesign and Canva preferred
·         Wordpress experience
·         Creative thinker 
·         Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, shift and meet deadlines
·         Strong work ethic, works well independently 
·         Focused, thrives in a fast-paced environment  
·         Ability to work effectively with various vendors and outside constituents
·         Professional demeanor, team player, positive attitude 
·         Familiarity with Constant Contact or similar email marketing tool

Salary: 
$55,000-$70,000 Commensurate with experience
