Job Description
If you’re looking not only to make money, but also to make a difference, 97.9 WHAV, Greater Haverhill’s only public radio station and nonprofit local news service, wants you.
If you’re passionate about serving the community and believe in an informed society, this full-time job is for you. The successful candidate will earn guaranteed income during the training and ramp-up period and unlimited earning potential thereafter. With no caps on commissions, the amount of income you earn is entirely within your control.
Prior sales/development experience is desired. Some training will be provided, as necessary. Experience with HubSpot Sales CRM a plus. Receive a generous and above-average commission rate and opportunities for growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Reach out to a combination of company-supplied leads and your own prospects
· Conduct thorough customer “Needs Analyses”
· Develop and present “Solutions Presentations”
· Negotiate and close appropriate marketing solutions (on-air, online and non-traditional)
· Write creative and effective announcements and online web copy
· Maintain regular schedules during normal business hours
· Follow station procedures, enter and maintain customer orders and database records
· Renew existing accounts prior to expiration
· Assist in ensuring on-time payments
· Create new relationships with local and regional businesses, particularly through in-person visits

Required
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Basic understanding of PC computers
· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
· Valid driver’s license
· An acceptable motor vehicle and willingness to travel locally
· Professional appearance
