Overview

Responsibilities
This position provides exceptional customer service, recognizes the importance of maintaining accurate records and systems, enjoys working in a team, and has excellent communication skills. The individual in this role must be skilled in organization, time management, and prioritization. Many priorities will need to be dealt with as received, particularly in supporting four HR Business Partners, the Associate People & Culture Director, the Associate HR Director, and the HR Director.
This position is temporary, full-time through June 30, 2022 with the potential to continue as a regular employee.
Human Resources Administration
- Communicate about and review all incoming new hire paperwork;
- Enter/review all payroll changes – new employees, terminations, address changes, pay rate changes etc. - in the HRIS;
- Approve benefits enrollments for employees, assist with benefits communications (i.e. liaise between benefits manager/administrator and employees, send COBRA notifications, etc.);
- Process all I-9 employee verifications;
- Run all background and driving record checks and communicate to employees as needed;
- Administer onboarding and offboarding, including offer and separation letters, for new and departing employees;
- Schedule all internal orientation sessions;
- Communicate about and review all incoming new hire paperwork;
- Respond to requests for employment verification;
- Update outlook mailing lists and TSNeConnect;
- Act as the reviewer and auditor for HRBP transactions and follow-up around any changes;
- Facilitate monthly HR meeting agenda and record meeting minutes to disseminate to team;
- Provide systems support, as needed.
Recruitment Support
- Post jobs to our website and various external sites;
- Assist with scheduling interviews, as needed.
Maintain Employee Records and Data
- Maintain and update current and inactive employee personnel files;
- Communicate, track, and receive employee performance evaluations;
- Prepare employment conditions letters for HR Business Partners.
Employee Communications
- Act as the liaison for our clients with the HR Business Partners and refer to team members as appropriate.
Complete other tasks and projects related to the job, as needed.

You are someone preferably with two years of Human Resources administration experience or similar experience. This position requires close attention to detail, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to prioritize and switch gears as needed to meet the needs of our clients. You are a strong but thoughtful communicator both verbally and in writing who is not afraid to hash out the details to make sure work is completed correctly and in a timely fashion. You enjoy and have experience in working in and with diverse teams and clients. It is a plus if you have experience working in a nonprofit and/or working with ADP WorkforceNow, icims ATS, and benefits carrier systems.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
The physical demands described for this position are that of a typical office environment. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions. Ability to sit and/or for extended periods of time in front of a computer screen is an essential aspect of the position. There may be a need to lift and/or move materials or equipment.
Location: Work will be performed between our office located at the NonProfit Center at 89 South Street, Suite 700, Boston, MA 02111 and your home office. This position is required to be on-site one to two times per month.
Schedule: This position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week and hours are flexible within reason.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: The starting rate for this position is $23.08 per hour and is commensurate with experience.
