Grants Manager

Immigrant Family Services Institute (IFSI) (Positively Partners)

Job Description

Immigrant Family Services Institute (IFSI)’s mission is to expedite the successful integration of recent immigrants into the social and economic fabric of the United States with justice and dignity. Through our “village model”, IFSI integrates children, parents, grandparents, and other stakeholders to provide services that promote education, encourage civic engagement, and strengthen communities.

IFSI is excited to hire a dynamic, energetic individual to serve as Grants Manager and support the maintenance of the financial growth of the organization. You will join a dynamic organization and work closely with the Executive Director in the creation of grant proposals, monitoring of program outcomes, and reporting to funders. In this role, you will lead state, federal and philanthropic grant proposal development and submission—preparing and organizing materials for proposals, and submitting and monitoring grant applications, including researching new funding and business development opportunities on a local, state, federal, and philanthropic level.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is motivated about joining a fast growing and fast-paced nonprofit organization impacting the lives of immigrants across the state of Massachusetts. As an experienced grant writer, you have a background in securing $1million+ grants with federal, state, and local agencies, along with national and local funders, in multi-year contracts. You are strategic and resourceful and believe in strong cross-team collaboration as you support IFSI in growing the annual budget from $2million to $10million in the coming years. Through this role, you will have the opportunity to further build systems, including grant management and tracking systems, to ensure that the IFSI team is maintaining cost efficiency across programs and remains aligned on all requirements and deadlines.

This position reports directly to IFSI’s Executive Director and will work in close collaboration with IFSI’s Program Manager and Accountant.

  • Analyze and manage all grant management processes and systems, including maintaining records and master calendar of grants and performing research on all grant issues, and provide training and assistance to IFSI sub grantees
  • Prepare and administer grant records and evaluate financial reports to analyze all annual progress and perform review on grant expenditures, including tracking progress towards outcomes and goals, monitoring and maintaining funder reporting schedules and requirements
  • Prepare internal reports for the Board and Director and internal staff and submit status reports to senior leadership as required
  • Evaluate and analyze all program costs according to budget, ensure work within appropriate deadlines, and make recommendations for cost control
