Job Description
Position Summary:
The Summer Flagship Clubhouse C2C Coordinator at the Flagship Clubhouse in Nubian Square, Roxbury, will serve as a safe, creative learning environment for Clubhouse youth participants. This role entails conducting outreach and connecting with youth and families within the community and surrounding areas, supporting youth in developing self-directed STEAM-rich projects based on their ideas and interests, supervising other Flagship staff and volunteer mentors, and developing collaborations with local community partners based on youth interests and community strengths. The Flagship Clubhouse C2C Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring that the "flagship" Clubhouse sets the standard as a model for The Clubhouse Network. They also represent the Clubhouse and serve as an ambassador with funders, partners, and special interest groups.
Essential Functions:
Provide outreach to young people, parents, educators, and community leaders to ensure visibility and recognition for The Clubhouse as a community resource for youth from inner-city Boston neighborhoods.
Develop a sense of community among a diverse group of Clubhouse participants, ensuring everyone feels welcome, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Help youth develop projects, introducing new technology applications and supporting them in coming up with ideas, gathering materials, getting started, connecting with mentors and collaborators, and following through on their ongoing work.
Support youth in planning for the future, including learning about and pursuing academic and job opportunities that leverage their Clubhouse skills and experience.
Support members of the Clubhouse to develop a Youth Leadership Council to provide a youth voice in guiding the future of the Flagship Clubhouse and its place in the community.
Supervise C2C consultants, trainers, and volunteers, and recruit, train, and supervise Clubhouse mentors to serve as role models and work with young people using technology for learning and self-expression.
Assist other staff in fundraising and publicity for The Clubhouse, communicating Clubhouse philosophy, goals, and results to external sources, and providing content for the Clubhouse's social media site as a showcase for young people's work and as a model for others.
Provide basic tech and administrative support for the Clubhouse program, including basic computer maintenance; keep records of participants, volunteers, and equipment; keep the Clubhouse space organized; and ensure fiscal and operational integrity of the Clubhouse program.
Participate in The Clubhouse Network, attending Network meetings, sharing ideas and issues, and supporting collaborative projects across Clubhouses.
Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or Executive Director.

Interpersonal skills, including getting along with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities and working as part of a team.
Organizational skills.
Experience/Qualifications:
Evidence of commitment to The Clubhouse Network's mission, including youth leadership, youth development, social justice action, and racial equity and inclusion.
Proven track record working with youth, particularly those from underserved neighborhoods.
Demonstrated ability to reach out to youth, parents, community leaders, and employers.
Work experience in an informal learning environment.
Evidence of interest in learning management systems and technology as a creative and empowering tool, including music, art, video production, robotics, web development, computer game design, animation, and engineering.
A passion for learning and helping others learn.
Project management experience: ability to plan and execute in keeping with program expectations.
At least one year of supervisory experience.
Requirements:
Full-time hours (40 hours per week)
Summer Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11 AM - 7 PM (Occasional Saturday as directed by TCN leadership for Flagship special events)
