Founded as a Limited Liability Corporation and wholly owned subsidiary of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, in 1994, CPG provides group purchasing, shared services and strategic sourcing solutions for 750 community health centers and related non-profit organizations in Massachusetts and across the country. CPG is a national group purchasing organization that works to strengthen community health centers and nonprofits streamline costs and boost efficiency in a rapidly changing marketplace. The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers (MLCHC) was formed 50 years ago as a non-profit 501c3 association aimed at providing services and support to its membership and is the parent company of CPG.

The Executive Director (ED) of CommonWealth Purchasing Group (CPG) leads and directs a group purchasing organization for community health centers and other community-based organizations. The Executive Director is responsible for successfully steering the organization and managing its operations. The Executive Director will also act as a Senior Vice President under the parent company, Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, reporting directly to the CEO. The Executive Director serves as the staff person for the CPG advisory board.
