Save One Life is an international nonprofit, located in Danvers, that provides direct financial assistance to children and young adults who bear the double burden of a bleeding disorder and poverty.

Position Description

• Develops and executes a comprehensive strategic plan in partnership with the staff and board of directors
 
Fundraising/Development Expertise
• Demonstrated development/fundraising or client development experience

• Experience creating partnerships with external constituents
• Develops and executes on initiatives with corporations and individuals that are mutually beneficial
• Manages donor stewardship and identifies new opportunities
• Provides oversight to fundraising and marketing initiatives/events/activities

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
 
The ideal candidate will possess the following professional and personal attributes:
 
• A leader with a passion for the mission - a leader who leads from the heart and is a champion of this work
• A proven track record of fundraising and identification of new sources of revenue
• A proven people leader – someone who has led teams; mentor of staff who can develop and maintain a positive organizational culture
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or advanced training in business, finance, nonprofit management, or related field preferred
*Experience working with the bleeding disorders community preferred but not required
• Minimum of seven (7) years of senior level experience in nonprofit leadership including strength in: Fundraising, Operations, Board Governance, and Organizational Leadership
• A strong communicator who is comfortable being the face of the organization locally and globally
• An equity minded leader who brings an understanding of diversity, equity, cultural sensitivity, and inclusion to ensure greater engagement with diverse communities
• A strategic, growth-oriented leader who can also plan and execute short-term objectives in pursuit of a long-term vision and create action plans that yield results
• A hands-on leader not averse to “getting their hands dirty” in diverse operational tasks, international travel to developing countries, and being relatable to those we serve
• Proven experience working with nonprofit boards; highly skilled at identifying, recruiting, and engaging board members, donors, volunteers, and community members
• Personal ethics and integrity that reflect positively on the mission and the organization; a passionate and convincing champion for the mission who is involved in and respected in the nonprofit community
