The Executive Assistant (EA) will play a strategic role in the organization, directly reporting to the CEO and providing her with comprehensive support. The EA will also handle scheduling and related responsibilities for CHAPA’s Board of Directors, Policy Leadership Council, and Policy Committees. This is a hybrid position, with 2-3 days in our Boston office.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the CEO’s “right hand person,” providing complex calendar management to help facilitate her schedule, coordinating internal and external communications, and keeping her informed of, and prepared for, upcoming commitments
- Triage internal and external requests and draft responses
- Respond to emails and phone calls on behalf of the CEO where deemed appropriate
- Manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Handle the CEO’s timesheets, expense reports, and other tasks
- Interact with the Board of Directors, Policy Leadership Council, and Policy Committees, arranging meetings and compiling materials
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a proven track record. They should also have an interest in the substance of CHAPA’s work, including a sensitivity to the needs of people with low incomes.
Key qualifications include:
- A minimum of 4-5 years working as an Executive Assistant (or) 6-8 years providing progressively complex administrative support to an organization
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, think critically, and exercise discretion in regards to confidential matters
- Understanding of the multi-faceted role of a CEO and the critical role the Executive Assistant plays for CHAPA’s success
Salary:
The salary range is $75,000-$85,000, commensurate with experience. CHAPA also provides a generous package of benefits including vacation and sick time, health insurance, short-term disability insurance, life insurance, and retirement benefits.
