Position Overview:
At the Chamber, we are passionate about building community, and we're looking for someone who can take our content to the next level and deepen engagement with our members. As a Digital Content Creator, you will be working alongside the rest of the Marketing team and other departments to conceptualize and create video and media content for our website, email, and social channels. You will work with our Content Manager to produce engaging video, graphical, and written content that aligns with our overall content strategy and calendar, content that caterers to our various Chamber brand audiences.
Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working on a team just as much as they enjoy owning their own plate of work. This role requires you to be creative in producing visual and written content and to have the technical knowledge and aptitude to work with digital video and photography equipment.
We are looking for someone who is resourceful, has a strong willingness to learn and grow, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to jump right in!
This person should have experience with video production and editing, graphic design, WordPress, social media management, Mailchimp (or similar) email software, Google Analytics, and copywriting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, create, and publish original, high-quality, and engaging content to drive brand awareness and engagement for the Chamber and its sub-brands
- Liaise with communications team and fellow Marketing team members to ensure content is informative and appealing
- Work with Programs and other teams to understand their goals and translate them into strong multi-channel digital campaigns that drive attendance and engagement
- Work closely with the Marketing team to develop, create, and produce promotional, marketing, and company videos (both short and long form), GIFs, and other content that support the Chamber's strategic goals
- Create and edit video content for multi-platform use & distribution including website, social media (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, IG Reels, etc.), and email channels (Mailchimp)
- Manage media assets and archiving on all company projects
- Conceptualize new ideas for original content and concepts for web & mobile
- Work with Content Manager to ensure web content is up-to-date and optimized
- Work with the Marketing team on brand & event marketing campaigns throughout the year, assisting with the creation of graphics and social copy for speakers, honorees, and members as needed
- Attend Chamber programs and collaborate with Marketing Coordinators in live-tweeting and producing engaging content during and after the program
- Seek and solicit member news and translate it into engaging social content)
- Monitor use engagement across platforms and suggest ways for content optimization
Education/Qualifications:
- 2+ years of social media management or social content creation - agency experience a plus!
- 2+ years of videography and production experience
- Web knowledge needed to facilitate posting videos to various digital channels
- Knowledge of the video production process - directing, filming, interviewing, editing, encoding, uploading, and managing media
- Strong understanding of post-production workflow
- Naturally creative and enthusiastic
- Organized and good at time management
- Self-driven and motivated
- Experience with WordPress and Google Analytics preferred
- Strong design skills - experience with Canva is preferred
- Strong writing skills - experience writing social copy is preferred
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to thrive independently, communicate and cooperate with peers in a team is essential in this role
- Strong organizational skills (including the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously) and exceptional attention to detail
- College degree preferred
- Extensive experience using MS Office Suite
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize across potentially competing objectives and timelines
- Strong business ethics and values
