Community Resources Advocate 
Bilingual English-Spanish Northampton area 
  
Seeking a highly organized individual with excellent customer service skills to work in our Northampton office with low-income individuals & families answering our Information & Referral phone and meeting with people to assist with applications. In this role you will conduct comprehensive benefits screening, scheduling of appointments, provide advocacy, resources, and application assistance. Work both in-person and over the phone with people living in Hampshire, Franklin, and the N. Quabbin region helping them access SNAP, health insurance, financial assistance, and housing using a strength-based model to educate households about their budgets, develop plans of action and make connections to resources.   
  
The ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or HS Equivalency and five years’ experience in Human Service or related field or applicable work experience working with individuals and families that have low incomes. Additional education may be substituted for related experience; excellent computer skills; demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and reliable access to transportation to travel throughout Hampshire and Franklin County. Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) required. 37.50hr/wk. Salary range $19.50- $20.69 plus 50 cent Bilingual differential.
