Job Description
The Community Investments Manager is responsible for initiating, supporting and collaborating on the design, strategy, implementation and measurement of a robust, well-coordinated community investments program, which includes volunteerism, corporate philanthropy and public service initiatives. The Community Investments Manager will have critical responsibilities for and special focus on the Undergraduate Summer Intern Development (USID) Program, a 10 week, first-generation college summer internship program delivered primarily from June – August. This role will collaborate cross functionally on the Welcome Program, an internal support and education program for new, entry level employees.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undergraduate Summer Internship Development (USID) Program
• Partner with Director to craft and coordinate the Undergraduate Summer Internship Development (USID) program, including the sourcing and recruitment of candidates
• Own the end-to-end strategy and execution around USID - planning, delivery and evaluation - in collaboration with the Director and Internship Committee
• Collaborate in the development of innovative content and session materials for the USID program which includes identifying and handling external partners/speakers that will provide to USID programming
• Support Intern sourcing, performance evaluation processes, leading to decisions on return offers
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key partners in Human Resources, investment and non-investment teams and external partners
• Provide support, mentorship and guidance to individual Interns, managers and mentors, as appropriate
• Assist in the instruction of professional development sessions for USID program as needed
Loomis Sayles Welcome Program
• Own the end-to-end strategy and execution around the Welcome Program - planning, delivery and evaluation - in collaboration with the Director and Welcome Program Committee
• Serve as an upbeat and enthusiastic leader to entry level, new employees and mentors by facilitating and encouraging attendance to all program sessions
• Serve as a source for employees new to the firm, ensuring a smooth transition, acclimation, and a sense of belonging
• Source content for training, programs and activities
• Promote and cultivate positive, sustainable relationships with new employees and peer partners

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understand and promote the mission of the Community Investments team, messaging and branding on internal and external levels
• Develop written collateral, website content and presentations for the team and deliver to key partners as needed
• Attend non-profit fundraisers, including early morning breakfasts and evening events
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree with Master’s Degree a plus
• Possess a passion for mission driven work in closing access and opportunity gaps for underestimated youth
• Knowledge of financial service industry and/or non-profits is a plus
• Ideal candidate has worked with early career professionals and/or college students and has experience in adult learning
• Experience with program design and management with proven capability to plan and implement sophisticated projects that are cross-functional in nature and have a wide impact
• Strong and shown focus on customer or candidate experience
• Genuine interest in providing an exceptional Internship experience to attract, educate and assess early career talent
• Desire to work on an energetic, collective team that partners together and across functions/businesses
• High standards and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable addressing various levels
• Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment; able to make decisions or raise, as appropriate
• Provide staffing support for evening, vacation, and summer programs when needed
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word and willingness to learn new technology systems
• Healthy sense of humor, positive outlook
