Job Description

Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation (CSNDC) is a community organization committed to developing affordable housing and fighting for racial and economic justice by building power of low/moderate-income communities of color in Dorchester. CSNDC’s VISTA project will support the establishment of an integrated one-stop center connecting the community with a range of economic and financial supports at the agency and will build capacity for the agency’s climate justice work. This initiative will benefit more than 1,000 low-income, BIPOC residents of Dorchester’s Codman Square neighborhood. The FOC Specialist VISTA member will support development of an integrated FOC service model and build evaluative capacity to assess implementation and impact through improving data collection systems and data quality and ensuring that program development and improvement is responsive to community feedback.

The FOC Program Design & Impact Assessment Specialist VISTA member will:
  1. Research a range of financial empowerment and economic support services to identify areas for improved integration, service delivery, responsiveness to community needs, and outcomes.
  2. Develop methods to assess broad community impact of FOC including new quantitative and qualitative data collection strategies.
  3. Identify opportunities for staff training across employment and financial services.
  4. Support assessment of physical space at Computer Learning Center (CLC) for transition of staff and services to create a “one stop shop” co-located at an affordable housing site.
  5. Make recommendations for adoption of innovative financial products to incentivize coaching participation.
  6. Work with peer VISTA members to make recommendations to facilitate warm handoffs between CSNDC’s internal staff and develop system to track referrals between Eco-Innovation job training initiatives and CLC career services.
