Founded in Massachusetts in 2012 by Doug Rauch, former President of Trader Joe’s, Daily Table operates three stores in the Greater Boston area with plans to open two additional stores in 2022 and are developing plans for expansion across the United States. Daily Table offers customers a wide selection of fresh produce, meat and dairy, frozen and pantry staples at prices designed to fit even a SNAP budget. They also sell delicious, healthy, SNAP-eligible prepared foods, made from scratch in the commissary kitchen that offers convenience and time saving at prices lower than fast food alternatives. Regular price comparisons show that a sample basket of goods at Daily Table costs about 30% less than at supermarkets in the area. They also believe that they are the only grocery store in America where an individual can eat a healthy, varied and culturally-relevant diet using only their monthly SNAP allotment.
 
Daily Table is at an exciting moment as they seek out their first Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead Daily Table through strategic growth and development and prove out the model for a truly scalable solution to food insecurity in America. The CEO will lead a high-performing team and all functional areas including operations, development, buying/procurement, finance and administration, marketing and community outreach.
 
The CEO will build on Daily Table’s success to date as they look to dramatically expand their impact and mission delivery in the years to come. They will serve as the face of Daily Table, a chief strategist, ambassador, external champion, and leader of people, and partner with the Board, staff, and members across the country in pursuit of fulfilling their mission of making high-quality, affordable food available to all communities.
 
The CEO will be a proven hands-on leader, strategic and analytic thinker, problem solver who responds to challenges effectively with sound judgment, empathy, and compassion, and is cares about the mission.
 
The CEO of Daily Table will ideally possess business and retail experience, external affairs and fundraising expertise, will partner with the Board of Directors, and should bring management and operational leadership experience. In addition, candidates must have a commitment to making nutritious, delicious food accessible and affordable to all communities; an interest in understanding and fighting the complexities of food and nutrition insecurity; and an entrepreneurial mindset with a vision for growth and impact.
 
The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000, plus performance incentives.
