Camp Manager

The Rowe Center

Job Description

The Rowe Center was founded as a summer camp for young people, and youth camps remain a cornerstone of our work in the world. The current environment presents a number of unique challenges. What will summer camp look like in 2021? How can we safely support the social and emotional needs of young people within the context of the ongoing global trauma? How do you balance the Rowe culture of individuality and freedom with the health and safety needs of an ongoing pandemic? Rowe is looking for a partner that can work in collaboration with youth leadership to help answer those questions. This position will serve as liaison between the youth camp co-directors and The Rowe Center. They will help craft the next evolution of The Rowe Center's youth camps for the post pandemic world.

This position is responsible for ensuring that camps comply with all applicable state regulations and evaluate programming requests for safety and liability issues. This position will also serve as The Rowe Center’s contact to parents and campers. In addition, this position will assist in organizing and updating important camp documents and workflows.

The long term goal is for this position to transition to full time employment as the global financial outlook improves.
