Job Description

Boston CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a dynamic, rapidly growing 501c3 that recruits, trains and supports volunteers who advocate for court-involved youth in Middlesex and Suffolk counties who have experienced abuse or neglect.  They advocate for the best interests of foster children and youth.

Boston CASA is currently amidst a five year growth plan, significantly increasing the budget annually in order to serve even more youth.  We seek board members who will actively contribute to Boston CASA's mission by engaging their community connections and philanthropic networks.   To ensure that Boston CASA is well managed and securely positioned we seek individuals who have experience in  the following:

*
fundraising/development
*accounting/finance
*marketing/communications/PR/social media
*nonprofit or for-profit board management
*social work/trauma informed care
*strategic planning
*legal/judiciary

We are looking for board members who will:

*make Boston CASA one of their top three giving priorities annually. 
*attend and support fundraisers and seek event sponsorship.
*be informed and active participants by attending regularly scheduled quarterly Board meetings and more frequent committee meetings.
*serve on at least one committee: Governance, Development or Finance.
*promote Boston CASA within their communities and network enthusiastically.
