Associate Director of Grants and Programs Job Description


This position reports to the Executive Director and performs a broad range of duties to support and enhance Highland Street Foundation’s philanthropic initiatives.  


Grantmaking Operations


·         Administer the Foundation’s grants program through a database, which entails a multistep process to issue hundreds of grants annually
·         Conduct necessary due diligence and maintain foundation files in compliance with Foundation guidelines
·         Manage all elements of Board of Trustees sponsored events including program ads, guests lists and name recognition
·         Prepare reports, summaries, briefing documents and other analyses as needed for Trustees and Staff
·         Maintain comprehensive calendar of nonprofit events in the Greater Boston area


Programmatic and Marketing Support


·         Work closely with ED and Director of Programs to assist in the implementation of all HSF programs and events
·         Manage activities related to Boston Common TADpole Playground and sports partnerships with Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, New England Revolution, Woo Sox, and Coachella Valley Firebirds
·         Create content, update and maintain all HSF’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter
·         Design marketing materials and graphics to be used internally and externally
·         Work with an external consultant to update and maintain website
·         Work with vendors to produce all branded materials


Other duties


·         Provide administrative and technical support as needed
·         Represent the Foundation at nonprofit and philanthropic events
·         Contribute to overall strategic development and direction of the Foundation



Qualifications


·         At least five years of experience in a professional work setting
·         Highly organized and proven success in project management
·         Excellent verbal and written communications skills
·         Experience with managing social media platforms
·         Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and display sound, decision-making and problem-solving skills
·         Positive work ethic and enthusiastic team player
·         Experience with Cybergrants and Guidestar a plus
·         Bachelor’s degree
